EasyFinder Privacy Policy

EasyFinder ("the app") helps you catalog and find your household belongings using photos, voice, and search. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's used.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address, used to identify your account and to look up your account when someone invites you to share a home.
• Photos you capture. Photos of your items are uploaded and stored (via Cloudflare R2) so you can view them later and so the app can help identify items in future photos.
• Item information. Names, descriptions, tags, and locations you enter for your items, along with machine-learning representations ("embeddings") derived from your photos that help the app recognize similar items.
• Voice input. If you use voice input, your device's built-in speech recognizer converts speech to text locally; only the resulting text reaches the app. Raw audio is never sent to or stored by EasyFinder.
• On-device settings. Feature preferences and your currently-selected home/location are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.
• App diagnostics and usage. We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to catch and fix crashes. This includes screen views, actions like adding an item or starting a search, and crash/diagnostic data. This data is tied to an anonymous app-install identifier, not your name or email.

How we use this information

We use the information above solely to provide the app's core functionality: storing and organizing your items, letting you search and browse them, helping you share a home's inventory with others you invite, and improving item recognition.

Third parties

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Google — for sign-in (Firebase Authentication), AI-assisted item recognition and description (Gemini API), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase).
• Cloudflare — for storing your item photos (R2 object storage).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

Children's privacy

EasyFinder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
